The strand is charming, but wow, you'd think basic heating would be standard-my room was freezing, and I had to remind staff🙄. Don't count on watching TV. The streaming didn't work, such a surprise for a 'modern' place! I almost gave a good review but just couldn't, feeling utterly neglected.

Beautiful and incredible position, I thoroughly enjoyed staying in this place.
The hotel was a lovely base for enjoying a local area, close enough to the center of the town and pub that had a DJ on until 2am in the morning and a fabulous beach. The staff was ready to assist, supper friendly and accommodating people. There where coffee and tea for breakfast.

The TV in the room had access to Netflix and YouTube, a neat bonus for some entertainment after a long day. Plus, the room itself was slightly better than the common areas, giving a glimpse of what could be if more attention was paid to upkeep.
The entrance stairs were not appealing. The carpet and decor looked tired and grubby. There was soiled cotton wool left in the bathroom from previous guests, just unacceptable. The toilet was a struggle to flush and clearly needs repair. Even breakfast was underwhelming, with only cereal and porridge with just little sachets of milk, and no sugar. Not exactly the spread you'd hope for. Not to mention, the strong cooking smells from the kitchen above lingered from 10:00 AM to 10:00 PM. If you're over six feet tall, good luck. The bed was short with a footboard that could use some trimming. On top of that, the smoke alarm went off twice , completely ruining our sleep. I should also mention that a Sysco lorry was running its engine outside for 20 minutes at 8 AM, just when peace was needed.

The lovely room featured a comfortable bed and an adjoining area with a sofa and tea/coffee facilities. The food was really good, especially the European bread served during breakfast. Noise from neighboring rooms could be bothersome at times, and soundproofing could be improved. Despite arriving late for a one-night stay, I appreciated the super clean cleanliness and great shower pressure.
